Local 301 of the Playthings, Jewelry and Novelty Workers Union, CIO, has been selected as collective bargaining agent for production and maintenance workers of J. Wiss & Sons Co. of 31 Littleton avenue, it was announced yesterday by the National Labor Board.

In an election conducted last week, the board said, the CIO union received 274 votes to 195 for the rival independent union, the Wiss Employees' Independent Union. Of those voting, 10 wanted no union.
