A thief broke a plate glass window and stole an undetermined number of wrist watches from a display case at Wiss Jewelry Store, 574 Central Ave., East Orange, sometime yesterday morning, police said today.

George Fitzgerald, store manager, said the missing watches were inexpensive models. He said he won't know how many were taken until the store's inventory can be checked.
