1967-09-10 Jewelers Employees Share In Profits

Employees of the five New Jersey Wiss Jewelry Stores participated in the distribution of $2,964,439 in profit sharing of the parent company, the Fine Jewelers Guild division of the Zale Corp.

"The contribution was a record one," Richard Paul, Wiss president, said. "It was actually equal to 12.49 per cent of each employee's annual earnings. This is equal to more than six weeks additional pay."

In addition to the basic contribution employes also received 9.87 per cent interest on their balance in the fund.
