The Wiss Family Exodus from Newark, NJ in the 1920s
By the end of the 1920s all of the Wiss family had moved out of Newark. They all would have had cars. (Louis had one by 1900, FCJ probably did also.) The suburbs beckoned. Below lists Jacob's children, and the grandchildren of the ones that remained in the Newark area.

He was initially considering South Orange, where his older brother had moved to, but then choose the rural Short Hills, where his older sister was moving to.
