Five Die In Crash Near Great Falls
GREAT FALLS (UPI) – A semi-truck rammed into a station wagon at a dangerous
intersection 55 miles southwest of here Friday, killing five teenagers and
injuring five other persons. "It was about the worst mess I ever saw," said
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Sheriff Dave Middlemas. The dead were Sara
English, 15, Summit, N.J.; Larry Goldstein, 15, Hartford, Conn.; Stanford
Rothchild, III, 13, Potomac, Md.; James Weintraub 16, Owings Mill, Md., and
Cynthia Taylor, 17, Madison, N.J. All but one were thrown from the car,
ending up as far as 300 feet from the point of impact. Hospitalized at
Great Falls were car driver William C. Nunamacher, 36, North Caldwell,
N.J.; Sally Goodrich, Montclair, N.J.; Kobert Cohn, Fairfield, Conn.
