Widow of Former Head of Jewelry Firm, Is Dead at 95

Mrs. Charlotte S. Lange Wiss died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Denton Taylor of 84 Farley Rd., Short Hills. She would have been 95 Thursday.

She was the widow of Frederick, C.J. Wiss. who was president of J. Wiss & Sons Co.

A native of Newark, Mrs. Wiss moved to East Orange in 1925 and to Short Hills six years ago. For many years prior to 1956, she maintained a summer home in Avon.

Mrs. Wiss' primary charitable interest was the Home for Aged Women, now the Memorial Center for Women in Newark. She served a long term on its board and in recent years had been an honorary member. She also was a member of the Women's Guild of Munn Avenue Presbyterian Church, East Orange.

Besides her daughter, she leaves eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
