SIGRUN TAYLOR

EAST DORSET – A memorial service for Sigrun (Palmgren) Taylor of East Dorset, who died Monday evening at her residence, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Church of Dorset. The Rev. Hal C. Miller, church pastor, will officiate.

Mrs. Taylor was born in New York City, the daughter of the late George Alan and Marta (Lindell) Palmgren. She was educated at Froken Boman's Skola For Filkor in Malmo, Sweden, and Tyringe Halpension For Filckor in Hinda, Sweden.

She attended the Grand Central School of Art and the Art Students League in New York City, of which she was a life member.

Mrs. Taylor was formerly a resident of Summit, N.J. She moved to East Dorset with her husband in 1976.

She was an artist member of the Southern Vermont Art Center and a member of the Green Mountain Girls.

Survivors include her husband, William S. Taylor of East Dorset, whom she married in 1950; two daughters, Martha L. Taylor of Belmont, Mass., and Lisa T. Clark of Reno, Nev., and four nephews.

There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helene Toolan Institute for Medical Research, 110 Hospital Drive, Bennington, 05201, or one's favorite charity.

Brewster Funeral Service, 1 Park Place, Manchester Center, was in charge of the arrangement.
