New York Syndicate Buys Broad St. Property

The 10-story Wiss Building, midtown landmark, at 665-71 Broad St. together with a one story "L" structure fronting at 22 W. Park St. has been sold by the Will [sic] Realty Corp. through Leslie Blau, realtor, to a New York syndicate headed by Charles Walzer.

Title passed yesterday at an undivulged figure, the sale being revealed by William S. Taylor, president of the Wiss organization. The new owners will operate the building under West Park, Inc., formed for the purpose.

Wiss Sons, Inc., a separate company, will continue to occupy its present space in the building under a long term lease; other tenants will continue and Blau remains the managing agent.

Besides the president, officers of Wiss Realty include Jerome B. Wiss, vice president; Sigrun P. Taylor, secretary; Fred W. Sinon, treasurer, and Kenneth B. Wiss, assistant treasurer. In the sale the Wiss interests were represented legally by Emanuel P. Sheck and the buyers by Charles Okin.

According to Blau the Walzer syndicate plans extensive remodeling of the 40-year-old office building.
