1939-05-04 NLRB Dismisses Charge

The National Labor Relations Board in Washington today dismissed charges of unfair labor practices against J. Wiss & Sons Co, scissors manufacturers, of 31 Littleton avenue. The board held evidence presented by the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of the CTO at an NLRB hearing last March in Newark failed to substantiate the charges.

The union alleged the company had "spied" upon union meetings, discharged an employee with 10 years' service and dominated the Employees' Independent Union. The company denied all charges.
