Picture taken from a balcony in the Ritz Hotel. The statue above the entrance is no longer there. It represented the three muses of painting, sculpture and architecture. It was the work of the Spanish sculptor Jerónimo Suñol and it had graced the entrance to the north wing of the Prado Museum since the late 1800s. In the 1970s it was removed for cleaning and hasn't been seen since. It is now considered "mislaid." See picture detail below.
