SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. Sept. 19.–Miss Ruth Charlotte Wiss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Wiss of South Orange, was married tonight to Waldron Merry Ward Jr., sone of Mr. and Mrs. Ward of SUmmit. The rector, the Rev. Walter O. Kinsolving, performed the ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father. Her gown was of white duchess satin, made on classic lines and having a yoke of Alençon lace. Her veil of tulle was attached to a coronet of similar lace, and she carried white orchids and lilies of the valley.

Mrs. Carl Triest of Great Neck, L.I., was matron of honor, and Miss Nancy Lees of East Orange maid of honor. The bridesmaids were the Misses Joan Wiss, sister of the bride; Ailene Ward of Summit, sister of the bridegroom; Helen Reed and Catherine Ellis Wilkinson of Newark, Virginia Drake of Short Hills and Mildred Mennen of South Orange.

John S. Ward was his brother's best man.

A large reception was given at the Baltusrol Golf Club, Springfield.

The bride was graduated from Dearborn Morgan School, Orange, and the Finch School of New York. Mr. Ward is an alumnus of Andover Academy and Princeton University, and a member of the Colonial Club at Princeton and the Princeton Club of New York. The couple will reside in Orange after a trip to Bermuda.
