VIRGINIA DRAKE WISS, 76, of MANTOLOKING, died Sunday at home. She was active in the Bay Head Yacht Club, a member of the Key Largo Angler's Club, and the Ocean Reef Club of Key Largo, Fla., and was a board member of Sarahward Nursery, New York, for 40 years. Mrs. Wiss was born in Jersey City and lived in Maplewood and Short Hills before moving to Mantoloking in 1974.

Her husband, Richard R., died in 1975. Surviving are a son, R. Garin Wiss, Chagrin Falls, Ohio; two daughters, Linda W. O'Neill, Warrensburg, N.Y., and Gail W. Heyer, Bay Head; a brother, Elliot R. Drake, Ponte Verda Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
