The navy department has sent word to Mrs. Ruth Wiss Ward, Livingston, N.J., of the death in action of her husband, Lt. Waldron Ward, jr., 30, U.S.N.R., who was commanding officer of an L.C.I. in the Pacific.
Besides his wife, Lieutenant Ward also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ward, Summit, and a child, Pamela, three years old. His wife is the former Miss Ruth Wiss, South Orange, granddaughter of Mrs. Frederick C.J. Wiss, 26 Lincoln avenue, Avon.
