Livingston–Lieut. (j.g.) Waldron M. Ward Jr., USNR, commanding officer of a landing craft, was killed in action Sept. 3 in the Central Pacific theater of war, his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wiss Ward, learned here yesterday. He was 30. Lieutenant Ward was born in East Orange, and was graduated from Princeton University in 1936.
