Revolving WISS Shears Display Showcase
With drawer. 15" Maple. Brown velvet-felt? Circular spool display moves inside a plastic dome, the top of the spool is dark wood disc... hooks inside. Wooden WISS knob on top turns the display spool.
Underneath is a 10.5" x 10.5" drawer for scissors storage. The tower, circular case is approximately 15" tall. Diameter approximately 8". Circumference is 28". Seller repaired the plastic and the metal rim that held the plastic to the circle... escutcheon installed... Some of the tiny screws holding the plastic dome in are of various sizes and not original to the piece...some are with tiny brass knobs. Brass hinges intact and working, hook latch on door is original and working.
Cleaned it up, wiped it down, wood looks beautiful, drawer has a gilt label stating: GENERAL DISPLAY CASE CO. NYC

Solid and tight, the moving parts are not loose...the parts that are supposed to move are moving easily, drawer slides nicely in and out, inner drawer in fantastic condition for age...
As found, in the Beaver Island Toy Store Museum
