26 Lincoln Ave, Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ
Frederick C.J. Wiss and Charlotte Lange Wiss

Built circa 1921. The house was on a double lot, with a porch on the dividing line. Sold in 1958. When the house was sold, Lottie left behind a cache of new Wiss scissors hidden behind a plywood panel covering the fireplace. The new owners used them. The house was sold and torn down in 2009. A new house was built on the right plot.
1922. Picture 1. Landscaping is very new. The car in front is a 1920-21 Cadillac Victoria Coupe. The car was my grandfather's. The picture was taken by him. The cars belonging to my great-grandparents would have been parked in the garage off the alley behind the house. During the model run the price was $4340, then $4540.

Picture taken June 2009 by Harold Blades. The house got a new facade and a porch across the entire front, which connected the side porches. Another porch all the way around was added at the second floor.

It was torn down shortly after this. This house was on a double lot, with the porch infringing on the dividing line. The house was replaced with a house on the right plot. The left plot was left empty. Now sold and will be built on.
