Wiss Second Lot in Fairmount Cemetery

Louis T. Wiss died suddenly on January 24, 1908. The next day his wife, Fanny Baker Wiss, purchased Lot 142 in Section Q for $847 ($1.50 per square foot). This is in the circle in the middle of the cemetery, where the most important monuments are located. Some are the beer brewing families. Five family members are buried here, with only four marked. Jean Wiss's cremains are not marked. There are more than 20 graves still available (some are short).

On April 29, 1908 Frederick C.J. Wiss purchased Lot 141 for another $847. This is the left side of the pie-shaped lot. No one is buried on that side. The combined lots total 1133 sq. ft.

Fairmount's records do not indicate that there is an endowment on the lots, but a $1500 one appears for the first lot.
Buried in Section Q: Lot 142. See page bottom for lot diagram.
