Dr. and Mrs. William Denton Taylor of Farley Road, will entertain at a cocktail party on Sunday afternoon in honor of Miss Bette Bruce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bruce of East Orange, fiancee of their son, Frederick Fancher Taylor. Miss Bruce and Mr. Taylor will be married February 7 in East Orange. Lt (j.g.) William S. Taylor, who will be his brother's best man has just concluded a leave spent with his parents and has reported for special training to the Naval Base at Little Creek, Virginia.

Fred'k Taylor Married

Miss Bette Bruce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edwin Bruce of East Orange, formerly of Chicago, became the bride of Frederick Fancher Taylor, son of Dr. and Mrs. William Denton Taylor of Farley road on Thursday February 7th. The ceremony was performed in the Reasoner Chapel of Munn Avenue Presbyterian Church, East Orange, by the pastor, Rev. Dr. C. Marshall Muir and was followed by a reception for the two families in the Woman's Club of Orange.

Mrs. Peyton Short of Baltimore was the bride's only attendant and Lt. William Schofield Taylor, USNR, was best man for his brother. The ushers were Harry Romein of Maplewood and Lt. Joseph Scott, USNR, of Short Hills.

The bride was educated in schools in Chicago, White Plains and Canada. Mr. Taylor was graduated from Yale-Sheffield University and Harvard School of Business Administration. He is receiving his discharge from the Army after serving as pilot of a B-17 with the Eighth Air Force in England.
