Frederick C.J. Wiss and Louis Schlesinger of Newark, with their wives, were among those who gathered near the Waimea Canyon, Kauai, for a banquet in honor of President Hoover Monday. Kauai is an island about 90 miles from Honolulu, and the forty tourists at the banquet stood on an elevation 3,647 feet above sea level.
