TRENTON – Governor Driscoll yesterday appointed five members to a special legislative committee to study New Jersey's employment security laws.
Named were Sol D. Kapelsohn of Maplewood, counsel for the State CIO Council; Albert Hutloff of Newark, business manager of Local 52, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL; Richard E. Chislett of Princeton, chairman of the unemployment compensation subcommittee, State Chamber of Commerce; Norman F. Wiss of Newark, vice president and treasurer of J. Wiss & Sons Co., Newark, and Howard J. Leahy of South Orange, dean of faculty and professor of psychology at Seton Hall University.
Earlier, the presiding officers of the Legislature had designated Senator Clapp of Essex and Assemblyman Smith of Passaic as members of the commission.
The commission will delve into the adequacy of benefits under the state's Unemployment Compensation and Temporary Disability Benefits laws, as well as problems of administration of the laws.
